BCHLIMB-01

John Jenkins Designs

The new artillery tactics of this period relied upon the manoeuvrability of the guns and, of their supply of ammunition. Guns in the front line without ammunition were obviously useless. The British limber was designed to carry a certain amount of ammunition, as opposed to the French system which relied on a separate ammunition caisson. The British limber was designed to carry 44-66 rounds, as well as entrenching tools, rope, blocks and tackles, and other necessary items. The limber wheels were also of the same size, and strength as those of the gun carriage, which meant they could be used to replace a broken gun wheel.

Horses sold separately.

Please note that BCHGUN-01 is the only artillery piece that will fit with this limber.
