Marktime was one of the early English companies to enter the field of the “new – old toy soldier” field of glossy traditional style figures. A joint venture of Peter Cowan (Kingcast) and Jim Borrowman, Marktime was a staple of hobby shops during the 1970s with production ceasing in 1980. The line offered a range of artillery sets as well as a few Indian army units and their classic Royal Engineers Balloon set.
