Thomas Gunn Miniatures

Not yet Released - expected in late April.

The Sig.33 heavy infantry gun was the standard German infantry gun used during WW2, it was the largest weapon ever classified as an infantry gun by any nation. Initially its weight made it difficult to manoeuvre in the field and the gun was adapted with lighter alloys and later it was mounted on tracked/wheeled vehicles for increased mobility.

The cannon used conventional shells apart from the Stielgranate 42, the finned projectile was mounted in front of and outside the barrel on a muzzle-loaded driving rod, and fired with a special propellant charge. The projectile had a range of about a 1,000 metres (1,100 yd), with the rod separating at about 150 metres (160 yd). The Stielgranate 42 was designed for demolition and obstacle clearance such as bunkers or buildings.

Its been 15 years since we made our last Sig.33, our all new tooled 1/30 scale model comes in a natty 3 tone camo scheme, with additional extras such as shells and ammo crate. The Stielgranate can be attached or left off, whatever takes your fancy. The barrel elevates and depresses.
