The most successful flying boat ever produced, the PBY Catalina was manufactured for ten years and was used by the U.S. Navy throughout World War II. Given the lack of available airfields, the Catalina's greatest strength was its ability to land on any river, lake, or estuary. This limited edition print shows a Hawaiian-based PBY-2, dressed in pre-war markings and lacking the fuselage window blisters of later variants, flying over Diamond Head on a typically beautiful Pacific day.
Limited edition print is signed and numbered by the artist, Stan Stokes.
Print measures 16.5" wide x 11" tall.
