From June 26, 1918, the 4th Marine Brigade, as part of the 2nd
Division, USA, fought a fiercely contested struggle against entrenched
German forces at Belleau Wood, France. At the conclusion of the battle, a
report was sent out stating simply that “Woods now U.S. Marine Corps
entirely,” thus ending one of the bloodiest battles ever fought by
Marines.
Set includes 4 U.S. Marines and scenic trees, 1:32 scale (54mm).
