The Medieval Wars series from First Legion debuts with the Battle of Agincourt. This English Archer figure showcases some of the unique equipment that evolved to improve the performance of the deadly yew longbow. He wears the archery wrist bracer, which laced on the top of the forearm and armored the inner wrist against the bowstring. On his other hand, he wears the two fingered glove that keeps the string from cutting into him.
An archer could loose one shaft without danger, but to fill the sky with volley after volley required the development of specialized equipment.
