Hans Joachim von Zieten was a Lieutenant-General in the Prussian Army of the Seven Years War. He was one of Frederick's most trusted generals and served with distinction at numerous battles; including the disaster at Kolin where his corps claimed the only victory of the battle. At Leuthen his cavarly initiated the attack and eventually drove the Austirans from the field. Though his career certainly had its highs and lows, he retired a hero of Prussia.
First Legion has crafted this hand painted figure in a pose that suggests von Zieten is listening to either an important report or a messenger delivering orders from his King and commander, Frederick the Great.
