First Legion adds to the Seven Years' War range with these Russian Gunners and their impressive 12lb cannon! The hand painted metal miniatures of the Prussian 7th Line Regiment now have some opposition at the Battle of Kunersdorf. One of the most dangerous jobs on the gun crew was to light the powder through the cannon's touch hole or vent. Eventually, cannons like this one would be built with the much safer flintlock technology that let the weapon be fired with the yank of a lanyard; from a relatively safe distance.
