A colourful character in his orange pants takes aim at the Legion. All the TGM Rif have authentic leather ammunition bags, Arab style daggers and leather water bottles.
This first batch are armed with captured Foreign Legion rifles, later releases will be armed with various weapon types. Although all wear the same style Djellaba tunic, all are in different shades of green, with differing stripe patterns and colours, to add that extra variety not often seen on a modern day battlefield.
The "Rif Warriors" were the Berber tribesmen who fought against the colonial powers in Morocco. They were known for their fierce fighting skills, marksmanship, and ability to move undetected in the difficult mountain terrain. The Rifian forces consisted mainly of tribal militia who wore ordinary clothes (often djellabas) rather than uniforms. On the head was worn a small cap or turban, the style of the latter varying between the tribes.
