King & Country's NA023 French Mounted Officer
King & Country offers an exciting new line of Napoleonic figures in 54mm scale, compatible with all other Napoleonic lines we carry. They have chosen the Peninsular War Campaign (1808-1813) waged across Spain and Portugal as the battleground, with the British 71st Highlanders and the French 3rd Line Infantry as the main protagonists for this first release.
Napoleon's line infantry combine the discipline and steadiness of the Ancien Regime's regular army with the revolutionary spirit of the new forces. Each battalion was comprised of one company of Grenadiers, seven companies of Fusiliers (riflemen) and one other of Voltigeurs (skirmishers). Four battalions made up a regiment.
