Wonderfully illustrated book on the history of J. Edward Jones antique toy soldiers. Filled with Color Photos.

Some dreams never die. James Edward Jones dreamed of making the greatest toy soldiers produced in America, by Americans, for Americans. Yet, the optimistic pursuit of that vision led him down the road to the eventual loss of all that was dear to him.

For thirty years beginning in the mid-1920's, Ed Jones experimented with ways to make his dream a marketable reality. He was unable to leave his family anything beyond their many memories and a few photographs. He did, however, bring to the market some of the best American-made toy soldiers ever produced.

This book is a visual record of the Jones' production. Even more importantly, it attempts to explain and document the never-before-told story of an American craftsman, businessman and Chicagoan - J. Edward Jones.
