During the Okinawa Campaign, an incredible 3,000 Kamikaze attacks were targeted at American naval vessels. The F4U Corsair was instrumental in the U.S. defense of these ships, keeping 2,600 of these Japanese pilots from succeeding.
This exciting, limited edition print — signed and numbered by the artist — offers a dramatic re-creation of Marine Major Archie Donahue, flying with the VMF-451 off the USS Bunker Hill, piloting his Corsair against the dive-bombing "Zero" on its Kamikaze mission.
