These hand painted metal toy soldiers from First Legion depict the Westphalian Army that fought as elite infantry for Napoleon. The Jaegers of the Westphalian Army carried short barreled carbines, which along with their superb training made them ideal forest skirmishers and tenacious opponents. The Westphalia established by Napoleon shared mostly only the name with what was traditionally and is considered Westphalia.
