War in the Renaissance is often called the “Age of Pike & Shot” and
First Legion has added some much needed Arquebusier
hand painted military miniatures to round out the Landsknecht formations. Though the arquebus was unreliable in wet weather and notoriously inaccurate, it could be devastating when used in volley fire against massed formations of foot soldiers. Inaccuracy was less of an issue when firing on cavalry formations, as horses made easier targets.
This Arquebusier is ready to shoulder his weapon and fire when the command is given.
