SS Tank commander Hans Siegel a Knights Cross recipient gives the Nazi salute. Sigel was a former member of the Leibstandarte before bring transferred over to the 12th SS.
Sigel was a superb tank commander with numerous kills under his command, he was wounded a total of 10 times in combat, his last being on the very last day of the war on the 8th May from Soviet artillery fire, which resulted in an arm being amputated. He was eventually released from Soviet captivity after the war and died in 2002.
