Bavaria was one Napoleon's staunchest allies, and the Bavarians were engaged throughout the Napoleonic wars serving side by side with the French as part of the Grande Armee of 1809, 1812, and 1813.

First Legion sincerely enjoyed revisiting Napoleonic Bavaria and providing this opportunity to acquire a new rendition of their very first release as a company.
Grenadiers carried grenades and were chosen for the physicality. Cartridges were pre-made, and soldiers would bite the musket ball from the top portion and pour the gunpowder into the barrel, saving a pinch to prime the pan. The next step was to spit the bullet into the barrel with the wadding and ram it home against the charge. This trooper is mid-process during reloading.
