First Legion's Medieval Wars series kicks off with the Battle of Agincourt. Though every effort was made to keep enemy infantry from reaching the archers, some of the enemy inevitably broke through. Though lightly armored and particularly vulnerable to cavalry charges, the longbowmen could defend against disorganized, sporadic infantry attacks. This bowman has laid aside his great yew bow and drawn his close quarters weapons.
