Default Re: Let slip the dogs of (world) war...

I'm not all that interested in the Germans, but I really like the Russian figures and I'm considering getting some of them, but not to use at Stalingrad. I'm thinking about something along the lines of using them with some Japanese figures to recreate some of the border clashes in Manchuria pre-1941. I reckon they’ll be compatible with the old Airfix plastic Japanese WWII figures which I think have been re-released. Might be able to get them in HK. If not, then I’ll get my brother to send them to me from the UK.
I’m particularly interested in this wee project cos I actually live in what-used-to-be-Manchuria, or Manchukuo as it was known during the Japanese occupation. To this day in Dalian China, you can still see some of the old houses that were built to accommodate the Japanese settler immigrants who were "transplanted" for the Japanese Governments version of “Living Space”. I’ll see if I can post some photos of them next time I’m home.
