OTSN CHICAGO SHOW 2002
As most of you know the upcoming Old Toy Soldier Show, held every year at
the Hyatt Woodfield in Schaumburg, Chicago, is the
number-one toy soldier
show in North America. This year’s show is taking place on Sunday
September 22 and the days running up to it. That is when K&C usually
displays and sells their latest releases and previews future launches.
We are taking a radically different approach this year…For the first time
ever we’re not selling direct to the public…We want you the dealer to
benefit from this.
This is a major opportunity to gain a lot of extra business and attract new
customers both for yourself and K&C
products. Again, as many of you know,
King & Country has always done great business at the Chicago Show.
Collectors love our special displays and the fact that we have the latest
product ready for them to buy.
Now, you can reap the rewards of our presence at the show but not competing
with you our dealer for the business. I will arrive at the Show on
Thursday
19 September and stay through until Tuesday 24 September.
WHAT’S NEW…WHAT’S AVAILABLE!
To help you get those extra sales we have, hopefully, managed to get some
advanced production sets for those dealers attending the Chicago Show.
Here’s what we have…

Sets DD32 and DD33 are 3rd Infantry Division (Audie
Murphy’s unit).
Also I am working on 2 more D-Day sets. I will have them to show at the Show
along with some other surprises. I will show these to dealers and special
customers. Should be available in October.

DD35 is the M16 quad .50 cal. anti
aircraft gun mounted²
on a
half-track - fully rotating and elevating gun! Plus a
3-man crew. Also in
3rd Infantry Division markings.
AFRIKA KORPS & GERMAN CAVALRY
Remember both of the above ranges are still virtually brand-new. There’s
bound to be a lot of collectors at the Show who have not seen them yet.
Make sure you have sufficient quantities of these for the Show. None of
us
want to turn away potential sales. Especially new and fresh will be AK19
The Desert PANZER III and AK20 The DEMAG HalfTrack.
BEING RETIRED
As we introduce more new AMERICAN REVOLUTION sets, we
will be retiring some
of the earlier figures. Scheduled for retirement in the next few months
are
AR01-AR12 inclusive and BR01-BR13 all inclusive. If you need these
figures
get them while stock last!
NEW ADDITIONS
As we bring on line the all new gun crews for our
REVOLUTION WAR cannon and
the colourful Black Watch figures, we are already
planning several other new
figures to enhance this very popular series for release in 2003. Watch
this
space.
Apologies for the slight delay on the release of some of these sets. We
expect advance sets to be available late September. The balance of our
incoming 8th Army will be ready by late October.
