DISPATCHES

THE CHICAGO SHOW

For the first time ever I attended the OTSN Show and did not sell a thing!
I’m glad to say most of the K&C dealers who did attend did extremely well.
Especially the all-new AFRIKA KORPS… THE 8TH ARMY…and THE AMERICAN REV.
additions.
Strangely enough the one dealer who was offering the biggest discounts did
the least well - I wonder why?
As I’ve said before discounts can sometimes backfire - especially on
brand-new products. Excessive discounting cuts your own profits and cheapens
the product in the eyes of many collectors.

NEW RELEASES!

Finally, after a few weeks we’ve got our new GI sets available in quantity
- ready for dispatch early next week!

DD32  THE MORTAR TEAM

Three 3rd Infantry Division GI’s man an 81mm Mortar. Great poses - great
price.

DD33  THE PATROL

Four 3rd Infantry GI’s led by a “tommy-gun” carrying Sergeant advance on
the enemy.

DD34  AIRBORNE BAZOOKA TEAM

Three 82nd Airborne Paratroopers PLUS an 82nd Airborne Glider trooper form a
“scratch” bazooka team on the hunt for kraut armour.

SPECIAL NOTE:

The 3rd Infantry Division had among its ranks America’s most decorated
soldier of WWII… Audie Murphy. Murphy’s biography “To Hell And Back” was
a highly successful book and movie in the mid-fifties. I can remember seeing
the film as a kid back in Scotland then and loving every minute of it. Audie
died in a plane crash in the late sixties and these first two sets are a
tribute to his valour and memory.

COMING SOON

DD35  M16 QUAD .50 HALFTRACK

This long-awaited anti-aircraft quadruple .50 calibre machine gun half-track
(what a mouthful) will, I hope be available in mid-November.
The Halftrack mounts the gun setting, and comes complete with a small head
and shoulders gunner, a driver and a full body vehicle commander.

EA04  25lb. GUN & CREW

One of the big hits at the Chicago Show was our new British Field Gun set.
The 25 “pounder” was the mainstay of the British and Commonwealth field
artillery for almost 50 years. The gun was easy to transport, simple to
operate and extremely accurate.
Our WWII version is in desert camouflage and comes complete with a five-man
Royal Artillery gun crew.
Combine it with EA05 our QUAD TRACTOR & LIMBER and you have a great display!

EA08  “MONTY”

Lieut. General Bernard Montgomery, the man who transformed the dispirited
8th Army into a fire fighting formation.
Contrary to some opinions he was a great general and led the British forces
ultimate victory.

individual soldiers of the BLACK WATCH and two sets of gun crews to man the
cannon - one Continental, one Royal Artillery.

IN THE WORKS…

Many dealers and K&C collectors like to know what’s coming up in
the next few months.
Here’s just a taste of some of the “goodies” you can expect…

WS38-WS42  CLASSIC GERMAN INFANTRY: Early-war period 1939-1942

Collectors have been asking for standard German Infantry for a long
time. And that’s what we’ve got.
Five all new sets of German Infantry of the Wehrmact’s most famous
division “GROSS DEUTSCHLAND”.

Eighteen action figures PLUS a PANZER Mk2 tank AND a 37mm Anti Tank
gun.

All the figures have open-necked tunics, rolled-up sleeves and
jackboots typical of the early-war victories in Poland, France and the Low
Countries and, of course, the Invasion of Russia.

WS43  MICHEL WITTMAN’S LAST TIGER

A brand-new version of our famous TIGER tank is at the factory now
being prepared for release in the next couple of months.
German tank ace Wittman fought in Russia and France in his brief but
glorious career. In his most celebrated action he and his Tiger tank
virtually single-handedly brought a British armoured advance to a complete
halt in a little Normandy town called VILLERS BOCAGE.
His tank alone accounted for 15 British tanks, 12 armoured personnel
carriers and several other vehicles in a 30 minute rampage through the area.
Several weeks later Michel Wittman himself met his fate when he was
ambushed by a troop of British tanks - one of which was a Sherman Firefly
armed with a 17lb. gun (the only allied gun that could knock out a Tiger).
K&C’s all-new Tiger is based on Michel Wittman’s last Tiger and
comes complete with three crew figures; fully rotating turret and a fully
elevating 88mm gun. Wittman’s hull number “007” is also on the tank PLUS
a special commemorative plaque on the underside showing this and his
membership of the elite 1st SS Panzer Division “Leibstandarte Adolf
Hitler”.

We hope to have these German new sets available in time for
Christmas.

Well that’s the story so far…Thanks again for all your support and
encouragement we hope you have great sales.

All the Best,
